Informatie over Tinos

Tinos is the island of Megalohari - The Virgin Mary and is visited throughout the year by thousands of tourists. The island covers an area of 195 km2 and with a population of about 10,000 inhabitants in over 50 villages.

Popular with tourists from all corners of the earth, the island has developed entertainment centres and clubs that you will find in its main town and in the major seaside resort areas. Tinos is also favoured for fishing and hunting.

The climate is mild, gentle and cool, but the strong winds that blow all year round inhibit agricultural production even though Tinos has more water than the rest of the islands in the Cyclades group.
