Information about Saronic Gulf Islands

The Saronic Gulf Islands are among the favourite resorts of the Athenians as the islands are located close to the capital. Each of the islands has its own character and colour. The varied landscape and ancient archaeological sites are a magnet for visitors.

Ideal for sailing because of the various directions the wind blows and can offer weekend breaks as they are 20 to 40 nautical miles from Athens, within1-2 hours by Flying Dolphin, making them convenient for day trips. There are many ferries a day and Hydrofoils run hourly in high season.

Lots of natural beauty, clean sandy beaches and even small deserted islands to explore, great swimming, scuba diving or even fishing.
