THE SUITES
Palazzo Visdomini Residence
was built in one of the noble buildings in the historic centre of
Pietrasanta. It is a Tuscan city known all over the world for centuries
for its art laboratories frequented by the greatest artists of every
age, from Michelangelo Buonarroti, who created his most important works
here, to contemporary artists that lived and worked in this marvellous
city where the beauty of the Apuane Alps blends in magically with the
sea.
Palazzo Visdomini was restored with the aim of preserving
its early twentieth century atmosphere conferred when Count Visdomini
was planning his own residence here.
Six apartments -suites-
were created, each one built with a lounge, bedroom, bathroom and small
kitchen to offer its guests every comfort and satisfy even the most
demanding needs...
The first structure was built to accommodate
customers wanting to enjoy a period of relaxation, culture and deep
impressions in a unique setting to take you back in time, without
foregoing any of today’s modern privileges, with the sea close at hand.
Eleonora Duse Ground Floor Room
The
“Eleonora Duse” room, situated on the ground floor, offers its guests
an atmosphere from times gone by, called to mind by the
eighteenth/nineteenth century furnishings of the elegant Louis XVI
wardrobe and Napoleon III chest of drawers.
The spacious bathroom
adjoining the room with its polychrome marble finishings is an
invitation to relax with its hydro-massage Jacuzzi and “early twentieth
century” surroundings and antique white Carrara marble washbasin.
Leopoldo Il Suites
The
windows look out over the historic centre of Pietrasanta: the suite
dedicated to Leopoldo II dei Medici welcomes us in its warm nineteenth
century setting with an “Umbertino” segretaire and period writing desk.
Carducci Suite
All
the comfort of an authentic living room suite dating to the end of the
century is added to all the comfort of a large bedroom with period
furniture, such as the “commode” dating back to the end of the
eighteenth century, the small Louis Philip bookcase and a splendid view
of the Italian style garden.
Michelangelo Suite
The
door opens onto the suite dedicated to the great Michelangelo, who
concluded the purchase of the block of marble in Pietrasanta, which was
used to create his greatest masterpiece: The Statue of David. Intimacy
is transformed into atmosphere by the complicity of its bold colours,
which emphasise and frame an inlaid chest of drawers and Charles X
games table.
D'Annunzio Suite
Suite offering
strong emotions and bold passionate colours, the subject of
D’Annunzio’s lyrical poems. Memories blend in with the Pompeian red of
the hall and the picturesque view of the roofs and hills.
Botero Loft
Unique
setting where the day area blends with the night, view over the hills
of the ancient Rocca di Sala fortress where elegance and vitality are
perfectly matched.
The sophistication of Provencal
contrasts and charm of solar spaces offer “all round” comfort in the
familiar, soft atmosphere of the Visadomini residence...
