No better place for a unforgettable wedding at The
Onich Hotel
with its majestic surroundings
We may be biased but we think that
Onich Hotel
is
the ideal location to have your wedding. Apart from being located
amongst the most stunning scenery that Scotland has to offer, our
family run hotel prides itself on being able to offer a wedding package
individually tailored to your requirements.
We can offer to arrange for the whole package for you from arranging
flowers, hairdressers, entertainment, photograghs, videos and even
fireworks over the beach! Alternatively we can just offer you the use
of our facilities. The choice is yours and we are here to make your day
one to remember. We can give you guidance with help from our Head Chef
on choosing a menu or we can provide for you a menu completely of your
own choosing. Have a look at our sample menu.
We have a licence to hold civil ceremonies on the premises and you can
choose from a number of our function rooms where to have your ceremony.
Alternatively the ceremony can be held outside on the lawn or on the
terrace. It goes without saying that the opportunities we offer for
your wedding photographs are unrivalled anywhere.
The facilities we have available are as follows:
* Twenty six bedrooms
* Restaurant for up to 50 guests.
* Bar and sun-lounge for your private
use.
* Cocktail bar
* Residents' lounge
* Morning lounge
Another new and equally exciting project we are currently undertaking
is the purchase of a marquee to cater for larger weddings and
functions. We hope this will be in place in the very near future,
contact us directly for further details.
The gardens are without doubt, Onich Hotel's most prized
asset and
in conjunction with the beautiful shoreline and loch, combine to yield
a setting that can only be described as breathtaking.
In
the last year, the gardens have benefited from an extensive programme
of works which have included hard landscaping and intensive planting
schemes to give year round interest. This has resulted in accolades
from both professional and amateur gardeners alike.
We employed Glenfinnan Gardeners, Iain and Joy Morrison as
consultants who came up with some exciting ideas which we duly
implemented. As the project progressed and developed, it became evident
that this was more than just a project to those involved, it was a
labour of love as evidenced from the enthusiasm of our gardener and
indeed other members of staff who were keen to lend a hand.
Nothing compares to an evening stroll (after a sumptuous meal)
along
the path meandering between beds bursting with colour, texture and
scent while enjoying our famed West Coast sunset. Truly, an experience
never to be forgotten.
Yet for all their beauty, the gardens are designed to be of a
casual
nature, to be enjoyed by all our visitors both two and four-legged!
Included is an area for the children to play while parents can watch
while enjoying a relaxing tipple on the terrace. No-one will bat an eye
should the strawberries be sampled by little fingers! They are provided
for the enjoyment of the guests as well as for use in the kitchen.
In addition to their obvious beauty, the gardens however serve
a
dual purpose. Not only do they provide the hotel with fresh herbs,
fruit and flowers but it was always our intention to
start selling
plants from the hotel, with some of the plants coming from our own
stock. This is an initiative we are very excited
about, especially our
gardener Raymond, who has been promised a new jacket! Pop in or call
01855 821214 and ask for Raymond or Maria for current stock.
