Information about Preveza

The Prefecture of Preveza is in the southern part of the District of Epiros. It covers an area of 1,036 km2 and to the west is bordered by the sea. The land is, in part mountainous with the highest peak of Mount Xerobouni 1,607 km, part plain with two rivers, the Aheron and the Louros feeding the artificial lake of Louros in the northern part of the region.

The capital city of Preveza has some therapeutic springs for hydrotherapy with extensive curative properties.

There are the archeological sites of Nikopoli, Kassopi and Necromandio, places of great interest for visitors.
