Pella is located in central Macedonia and borders Kilkis to the east,
Imathia to the south, Kozani to the west, Thessaloniki to the southeast and
FYROM to the north.
Edessa is the capital of the Prefecture built on the foothills of Mount
Vennion with a view over the plain with lush greenery and flower-filled gardens.
There are mountains in the region with waterfalls, the ski resort of Vora,
the spa, cave and gorge of Loutraki, Lake Vegoritida and a canoeing centre in
Loudia.
