Paxi or Paxos, is a tiny island of only 10 km long and 4 km wide.
Antipaxi is an even smaller island of 2 km south of Paxi.
Stepping ashore at the little port of the island at Gaios you are transported
into an exquisite miniature world of discovery. Easily walked from one end to
the other through what seems to be a large garden of vineyards and olive trees.
The beaches are spectacular and in the summer months, small boats travel back
and forth between Gaios and Antipaxi.
The island is very humid due to the southeasterly winds and frequent rainfall
typical to all the Ionian islands.
