Information about London

London is the capital city of England and is one of the largest cities in Europe. Home to an array of fascinating sights including St Paul's Cathedral, the tower of London, Big Ben and, of course probably the most famous being Buckingham Palace, the official residence of the Queen. The Tower of London, containing the Crown Jewels within, is situated beside the famous Tower Bridge crossing the River Thames. The city of London is a city within a city, divided by the great River Thames.

London has an excellent transport system in place with the underground system being a must in order to make ones way to all of the sights the city has to offer. Another popular type of transportation available are the red double-decker busses, which offer a chance to view the streets of London in a very quintessential fashion.

Whilst visiting the capital city a stop-off at the shops is a must. Whether its the luxurious Bond Street or Oxford Street with its designer stores including Selfridges, or Camden market more suited to those with a keen eye for a bargain, the cities' shopping experience is not one to be missed.

A ride on a red double-decker bus (a quintessential London experience) will help piece things together. London is one of the largest cities in Europe Probably the most famous of these is the Queens residence, Buckingham Palace.

Obviously in such a populated area a sense of solitude is rare, and traffic can be intrusive on London’s notoriously congested streets. But to compensate there is the fascinating history and culture of one of the world’s great cities, and facilities and services, including a good public transport network, near at hand.

Thanks to the pioneering work of the London Walking Forum, local Ramblers and some far-sighted boroughs, London has one of the most extensive networks of off-road walking routes of any city.

Home to the river Thames and large semi-rural areas such as Hampstead Heath and Epping Forest, London is greener than one might expect and a perfect place for walkers to explore.London is an unforgettable and shocking at first glance mix of ancient churches and museums and modern buildings, on the embankment of River Thames a hundreds year old’ wooden houses stand wall to wall with glass examples of the modern architecture. The map of London is not like map of any other city, any corner any street has a sign of a place of interest, Madam Tussaud’s museum, Buckingham palace, National Gallery, Regent’s Park…the list is never ending. Visit to London can never be too long, one week is just as short as one day for seeing everything and being everywhere. And it is not only architecture and historical places, it is the magic of fashion as well.

The Paris is a capital of coterie designs, the London is place, which makes fashion to come into life, what is made fashionable in London, becomes fashionable all over the world.
