Skiros is an island of the Sporades group to the south of the other
islands and is green with sandy beaches in the west, rocky coasts with small
picturesque gulfs in the south. The original architecture of the houses with
their pebbled entrances, picturesque roofs, hearth and other features create
great interest.
The main Port of the island is Linaria with many tavernas serving locally
caught fish, lobster as well as locally produced cheeses. The island has many
lovely beaches and low mountains to explore, caves for underwater fishing and
even ponies.
The mild Aegean climate and the peaceful clean beaches make Skiros an ideal
destination for tranquility and relaxation.
