Nevsehir is one of the amazing tourism centres in mid Turkey. Located
in the heart of the Cappadoccia Region surrounded with fairy chimneys of
geological magnificence and the ancient towns, where houses and churches were
carved in the rocks. Nevsehir is also known for its special wines.
Hotels and pensions are plentiful here but the size of the
place makes it a little tricky to get around without your own transport. It's
useful to know that you can find services here that aren't available in the
wilds of the interior but with any luck you won't need them.
The city has an archaeological and ethnographical Museum with
Byzantine, Hittite, Roman and Ottoman artefacts as well as a couple of
interesting Mosques that are worth visiting.
