House has its own practice hole, putting green, and croquet lawn. You do

The 2 Rosette award-winning Restaurant serves modern British food and is under
the stewardship of Andy Nicholson, one of the new generation of talented young
British chefs. The Head Chef is a member of the Master Chefs of Great Britain
and uses the best local produce, prepares imaginative dishes and insists on
ample portions. To complement the food there is on offer an eclectic wine
list, ranging from the contemporary to the classic.
Proving the ideal setting for small, private lunches or
dinners with an excellent cuisine that features the best fresh, local produce
- ample portions immaculately presented and a fine selection of wines.
Throughout the day a selection of freshly made sandwiches and
beverages are served. At lunchtime guests can choose from the Terrace Menu.

At Linthwaite they know the importance of making sure your
wedding day is one of the most memorable days of your life (and memorable for
the right reasons). The experienced Wedding Director will manage all your
arrangements, from Ceremony to Reception, so that you can make the most of
your precious day and not worry about a thing. Furthermore for complete
freedom and flexibility the Hotel can be hired for your exclusive use.
You can choose to hire the Hotel for your exclusive use for the weekend and
enjoy both the Wedding Ceremony itself and your Reception at Linthwaite
House. In this way, you have the opportunity to say when, where and for
how long regarding times of ceremony, wedding breakfast and so on, as the
Hotel is yours.
Accommodation: With twenty-six bedrooms that can
accommodate up to 52 guests. For the Bride, why not spend your final night as
a single woman in the Garden Suite, while the groom is kept tucked up
somewhere else in the Hotel - just for the one night! And be joined by him on
your wedding night.
The Wedding Ceremony: Your wedding ceremony can take
place in the elegant surroundings of the Restaurant, Boardroom or for those
with Exclusive Use, the Conservatory, the windows of which overlook the lake
and fells.
Wedding Reception: After the ceremony your guests can
enjoy a relaxing drinks' Reception on the sunny Hotel Terrace, while admiring
the magnificent views over Lake Windermere. Alternatively, drinks in the
Conservatory or Lounge, from where the vista is equally awe-inspiring.
Ceremony & Reception: You can hold the Ceremony and Reception and
book one or two Bedrooms at the Hotel without having Exclusive Use. The
Wedding Ceremony can take place between 11:00 and 12:30. The Reception can be
held from 13:30 until 17:30. During your time at the Hotel, you have sole use
of the Restaurant and Boardroom for your Ceremony and Wedding Breakfast.
Reception Only: Linthwaite House provides that special
venue for your Reception after a Church or Registry Office Ceremony. The
timings for the Wedding Breakfast are as above. We are also happy for your
Wedding photographer to accompany you to the Reception, so you can take
advantage of the idyllic setting and lake views at Linthwaite.

The English Lake District has long been treasured for its spectacular beauty,
made famous by the many great literary figures connected with the area - none
more so than the poet William Wordsworth, who was born in Cockermouth in 1770
and whose homes for much of his life are Dove Cottage and Rydal Mount can be
visited to this day in Grasmere.
Lake District National Park:
Occupying the central portion of Cumbria, the Lake District National
Park covers around 700 square miles of England's most stunning scenery.
Renowned for both its lakes and mountains, the region is home to both
England's largest lake -Windermere - and highest mountain - Scafell Pike
