Information about Spain

Spain is a popular tourist country with almost 60 million visitors per year, mesmerised by its culture and history. It is a country of great geographical and cultural diversity offering the visitor all its magnificent landscapes, beaches and cities.

Spain, is also characterised by the legacy that it has left throughout the centuries on all their inhabitants and conquerors. The famous cave paintings of Altamira, the Roman temples and aqueducts, the Moor baths, mosques and fortresses, medieval castles and cathedrals, baroque palaces, the modernist architecture of Gaudí or the works of modern art located in the Guggenheim Museum of Bilbao, are just some of the marks that time has left in Spain.

The months April - June and September - October are the best times to visit. July and August are generally very hot. It can be a bit cool in October in the higher elevations and in the Basque area. Winter, though generally mild, can be rainy, foggy and windy.
